Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy In Regular Script After Yan Zhenqing by Zhang Zhao was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. It achieved a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,292.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Zhao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy after Mi Fu in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,670,335.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script After Yan Zhenqing von Zhang Zhao wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.292,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zhao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy after Mi Fu im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.670.335,24).
