The work Calligraphic Couplets by Zhang Zhao was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in November 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 120,000.00 (€ 13,342.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Zhao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy after Mi Fu in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,670,335.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Zhang Zhao kam im November 2021 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 120.000,00 (€ 13.342,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zhao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy after Mi Fu im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.670.335,24).
