Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Yuan could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition auction, the work Fog's Colour changed hands for HKD 13,750.00 (€ 1,502.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Yuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buddhist Figures After Li Gonglin in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,615.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Yuan konnte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition wechselte die Arbeit Fog's Colour für HKD 13.750,00 (€ 1.502,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Yuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Buddhist Figures After Li Gonglin im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 48.615,43).
