Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Gemstone by Zhang Yuan. The price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,719.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Yuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Buddhist Figures After Li Gonglin in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,615.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gemstone von Zhang Yuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.719,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Yuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Buddhist Figures After Li Gonglin im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 48.615,43).
