Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape After Sheng Mao (Yuan Dynasty) by Zhang Yin. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,749.06) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Yin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in June 2015 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 46,261.43).
