Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scenery of Yuanming Yuan by Zhang Ruocheng was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 5,074.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Ruocheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, Flowers and Fruits, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,388.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scenery of Yuanming Yuan von Zhang Ruocheng wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 5.074,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ruocheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape, Flowers and Fruits beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.388,88) versteigert wurde.
