Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lizard, Tree, and Rock by Zhang Ruo'Ai was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,291.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Ruo'Ai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Landscape in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 18,040,000.00 (€ 2,085,090.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lizard, Tree, and Rock von Zhang Ruo'Ai wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.291,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ruo'Ai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Landscape im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.040.000,00 (€ 2.085.090,26).
