Sold at the lower estimate price
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition, which included this untitled work by Zhang Peili. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,284.49) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Peili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Series "X?" No. 3 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 23,060,000.00 (€ 2,003,999.73).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Zhang Peili zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.284,49) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Peili erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Series "X?" No. 3 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.060.000,00 (€ 2.003.999,73).
