Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Continuous Reproduction (Set Of Twenty-Five) by Zhang Peili was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,397.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Peili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Series "X?" No. 3 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 23,060,000.00 (€ 2,003,999.73).
