Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Phillips in London held the auction China Avant-Garde: The Farber Collection, which included the work Continuous Reproduction 25 Times by Zhang Peili. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,509.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Peili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Series "X?" No. 3 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 23,060,000.00 (€ 2,003,999.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Phillips in London die Auktion China Avant-Garde: The Farber Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Continuous Reproduction 25 Times von Zhang Peili zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.509,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Peili erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Series "X?" No. 3 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.060.000,00 (€ 2.003.999,73).
