A top price for Zhang Naiqi
This artwork by Zhang Naiqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Peach Blossoms and Swallows sold for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 11,687.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. This high result makes Peach Blossoms and Swallows the most expensive artwork by Zhang Naiqi that we have observed at auctions so far.
