Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Lu could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Chinese Works of Art Including The Richard Milhender Export Furniture Collection auction, the work The Immortal and Deer changed hands for USD 17,812.50 (€ 16,057.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Lu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes and Figure in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,175,000.00 (€ 532,781.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Lu konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Chinese Works of Art Including The Richard Milhender Export Furniture Collection wechselte die Arbeit The Immortal and Deer für USD 17.812,50 (€ 16.057,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Lu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes and Figure im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.175.000,00 (€ 532.781,32).
