Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Immortal by Zhang Lu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 223,500.00 (€ 18,399.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Lu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes and Figure in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,175,000.00 (€ 532,781.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Immortal von Zhang Lu wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 223.500,00 (€ 18.399,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Lu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes and Figure im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.175.000,00 (€ 532.781,32).
