This artwork by Zhang Kai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Eight Views of the Silver Mountains sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,458.71) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Kai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beauty in Mind in July last year with an auction result of HKD 1,020,000.00 (€ 127,275.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Kai erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Eight Views of the Silver Mountains für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.458,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Kai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beauty in Mind im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.020.000,00 (€ 127.275,04).
