Die Arbeit A SOUTHERN OFFICIAL'S HAT ARMCHAIR, NANGUANMAOYI von Zhang Jinhua kam im September 2018 bei Christies in Shanghai zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CNY 66.000,00 (€ 8.268,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Jinhua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A SOLID TOP RECESSED-LEG TABLE im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 300.000,00 (€ 37.583,89).
