A top price for Zhang Jinfang - as previously expected
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra by Zhang Jinfang. The price achieved of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 12,187.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra is the most expensive artwork by Zhang Jinfang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra von Zhang Jinfang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 12.187,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhang Jinfang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
