Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Jinfang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy in Running Script sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,684.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Jinfang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 12,187.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Jinfang erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.684,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Jinfang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 12.187,45).
