Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waterfall And Pine by Zhang Gunian was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. The price achieved of HKD 13,750.00 (€ 1,484.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Gunian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 64,900.00 (€ 7,143.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waterfall And Pine von Zhang Gunian wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 13.750,00 (€ 1.484,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Gunian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 64.900,00 (€ 7.143,01).
