A top price for Zhang Fengyi
This artwork by Zhang Fengyi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-character Poem in Running-cursive Script sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,594.09) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. This high result makes Seven-character Poem in Running-cursive Script the most expensive artwork by Zhang Fengyi that we have observed at auctions so far.
