Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Calligraphies In Official Script by Zhang Boju was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I auction at POLY in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,629.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Boju achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orchid in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 212,591.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphies In Official Script von Zhang Boju wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I bei POLY versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.629,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Boju erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orchid im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 212.591,60).
