A top price for Zhang Boju
This artwork by Zhang Boju achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Orchid sold for HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 212,591.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. This high result makes Orchid the most expensive artwork by Zhang Boju that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Boju erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Orchid für HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 212.591,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00.
