Upper estimate price exceeded by 92 %.
This artwork by Zhang Boju achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphic Couplets sold for HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Boju - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Orchid, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 212,591.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Boju erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets für HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Boju mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Orchid beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 212.591,60) versteigert wurde.
