Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Boju achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Orchid/Calligraphic Couplet sold for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 30,464.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Boju have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orchid in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 212,591.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Boju erzielte im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Orchid/Calligraphic Couplet für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 30.464,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Boju auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orchid im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 212.591,60).
