This artwork by Zhang Binglin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy In Zhuanshu sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 20,165.15) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Binglin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Jingwen sold at auction in October 2011 with the realized price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,631.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Binglin erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Zhuanshu für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 20.165,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Binglin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Jingwen im Oktober 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.631,10).
