Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet in Seal Script by Zhang Binglin. The price achieved of HKD 63,750.00 (€ 6,882.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Binglin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Jingwen in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,631.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Seal Script von Zhang Binglin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.750,00 (€ 6.882,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Binglin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Jingwen im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.631,10).
