Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Artificial Rock No. 92 by Zhan Wang was sold in the 20TH CENTURY & CONTEMPORARY ART & DESIGN EVENING SALE - Single Owner Section auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in May 2018. The price achieved of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,895.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhan Wang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artificial Rock No. 131 in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 6,380,000.00 (€ 630,365.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Artificial Rock No. 92 von Zhan Wang wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY & CONTEMPORARY ART & DESIGN EVENING SALE - Single Owner Section bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.895,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhan Wang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artificial Rock No. 131 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.380.000,00 (€ 630.365,14).
