The work The Appreciation Of Plum Blossom by Zhai Jichang was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 200,600.00 (€ 23,606.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhai Jichang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Eight Immortals sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 487,500.00 (€ 40,134.16).

Die Arbeit The Appreciation Of Plum Blossom von Zhai Jichang wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 200.600,00 (€ 23.606,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhai Jichang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Eight Immortals im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 487.500,00 (€ 40.134,16).
