A top price for Zhai Jichang
This artwork by Zhai Jichang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Eight Immortals sold for HKD 487,500.00 (€ 40,134.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. This high result makes Eight Immortals the most expensive artwork by Zhai Jichang that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhai Jichang erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Eight Immortals für HKD 487.500,00 (€ 40.134,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00.
