This artwork by Zha Shibiao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape in Style of the Old Master sold for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,890.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zha Shibiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Visiting Friends In The Hill in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,296,000.00 (€ 1,323,469.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zha Shibiao erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape in Style of the Old Master für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.890,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 280.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zha Shibiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Visiting Friends In The Hill im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.296.000,00 (€ 1.323.469,57).
