This artwork by Zha Shibiao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy And Various Subjects sold for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 228,597.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zha Shibiao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Visiting Friends In The Hill in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,296,000.00 (€ 1,323,469.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zha Shibiao erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy And Various Subjects für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 228.597,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zha Shibiao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Visiting Friends In The Hill im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.296.000,00 (€ 1.323.469,57).
