NOTE: He Man’an, a native of Panyu, Guangdong province, was an important collector of Chinese paintings and calligraphy in the Lingnan region. The name of his studio was Lingbi Shanfang and he was especially fond of collecting artworks by Lingnan masters, literati and politicians.

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Zha Sheng was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center auction at Christies in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,946.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zha Sheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Running Script in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 90,730.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Zha Sheng wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.946,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zha Sheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Running Script im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 90.730,93).
