Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Binge Drinking by Zena El-Khalil was sold in the Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian auction at Sothebys in London in October 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,647.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zena El-Khalil - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ou Ali Mama'ou Khabar? (And Ali Has No Idea?), which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,794.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Binge Drinking von Zena El-Khalil wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.647,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zena El-Khalil mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ou Ali Mama'ou Khabar?
