The work Al Bas by Zena El-Khalil was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,078.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Zena El-Khalil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ou Ali Mama'ou Khabar? (And Ali Has No Idea?) in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,794.17).

Die Arbeit Al Bas von Zena El-Khalil wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.078,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zena El-Khalil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ou Ali Mama'ou Khabar? (And Ali Has No Idea?) im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.794,17).
