In October 2012 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II, which included the work My City In My Mind by Zena Assi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,469.83), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zena Assi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ya Beirut, Ya Setadouniah #1,2,3,4 (Oh Beirut, Oh Lady Of The Universe #1,2,3,4), which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 56,956.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit My City In My Mind von Zena Assi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.469,83) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zena Assi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ya Beirut, Ya Setadouniah #1,2,3,4 (Oh Beirut, Oh Lady Of The Universe #1,2,3,4) beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 56.956,26) versteigert wurde.
