In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art auction, the work Art, War, Beirut sold for USD 30,000.00 (€ 20,241.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zena Assi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ya Beirut, Ya Setadouniah #1,2,3,4 (Oh Beirut, Oh Lady Of The Universe #1,2,3,4), which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 56,956.26).
