In June 2011 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Vue Des Environs D'Ascaldas À 15 Lieues De Lisbonne, Dans Un Encadrement Peintzacharie-Felix Doumet ; View Of The Surrounding Of Ascaldas, 15 Miles From Lisbon, In A Painted Frame ; Signed And Titled In The Lower Part ; Gouache On Paper by Zacharie-Felix Doumet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zacharie-Felix Doumet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fourteen studies of Corsican peasants, and two views of Bastia, Corsica, which sold at auction in December 2000 for GBP 11,750.00 (€ 18,717.64).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
