This artwork by Yves Saint Laurent achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February this year. In the The Collection of André Leon Talley auction, the work Profiles sold for USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,015.28) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yves Saint Laurent achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 168,750.00 (€ 199,923.17).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yves Saint Laurent erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of André Leon Talley wurde die Arbeit Profiles für USD 20.160,00 (€ 19.015,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yves Saint Laurent erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.750,00 (€ 199.923,17).
