Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Three Works From The Hommage À Webern Suite by Yves Gaucher. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 9,000.00 (€ 7,033.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yves Gaucher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study For "Six Squares" in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 39,000.00 (€ 30,477.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Works From The Hommage À Webern Suite von Yves Gaucher zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CAD 9.000,00 (€ 7.033,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yves Gaucher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study For "Six Squares" im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 39.000,00 (€ 30.477,03).
