Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Higashiyama Zoo & Botanical Gardens (Set of Three) by Yusuke Hanai was sold in the Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021. The price achieved of HKD 6,300.00 (€ 698.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yusuke Hanai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 38,323.23).
