Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work First Snow by Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,101.92). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the River Tverets, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,277.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit First Snow von Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky im November 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.101,92) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the River Tverets beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.277,59) versteigert wurde.
