Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Interior with Bust and Violin by Yuri Annenkov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,095.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuri Annenkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Aleksandr Nikolaevich Tikhonov in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,260,500.00 (€ 3,165,284.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Interior with Bust and Violin von Yuri Annenkov im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.095,19) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuri Annenkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Aleksandr Nikolaevich Tikhonov im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.260.500,00 (€ 3.165.284,82).
