Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New World - Av-8 by Yuan Xiaofang was sold in the Contemporary Chinese Art II auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. The price achieved of HKD 271,500.00 (€ 22,375.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuan Xiaofang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blossoming Glass Series No.24, which sold at auction in October 2007 for HKD 787,500.00 (€ 70,215.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New World - Av-8 von Yuan Xiaofang wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art II bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 271.500,00 (€ 22.375,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuan Xiaofang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blossoming Glass Series No.24 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für HKD 787.500,00 (€ 70.215,30) versteigert wurde.
