The work Landscape After Wu Zhen by Yu Zhiding was worth USD 162,500.00 (€ 144,727.47) to a buyer in March 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yu Zhiding; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lmmortals On The Tiantai Moutntain sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 2,645,000.00 (€ 250,996.76).
