Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Poems In Xingshu by Yu Dafu was worth HKD 907,200.00 (€ 100,479.78) to a buyer in October 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Dafu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 2,190,000.00 (€ 217,178.93).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Poems In Xingshu von Yu Dafu war einem Käufer im Oktober 2020 HKD 907.200,00 (€ 100.479,78) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 280.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Dafu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 2.190.000,00 (€ 217.178,93) versteigert wurde.
