Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Ehsan Crying by Youssef Nabil. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,998.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Youssef Nabil - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maelema- Fifi Abdo, which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 91,300.00 (€ 65,711.82).
