Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Amani by Window, Cairo, 1993 by Youssef Nabil for GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,224.66). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Youssef Nabil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maelema- Fifi Abdo in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 91,300.00 (€ 65,711.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Amani by Window, Cairo, 1993 von Youssef Nabil für GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.224,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Youssef Nabil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maelema- Fifi Abdo im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.300,00 (€ 65.711,82).
