The work Ehsan Crying, Cairo, 1997 by Youssef Nabil was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,775.23), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Youssef Nabil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maelema- Fifi Abdo in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 91,300.00 (€ 65,711.82).

Die Arbeit Ehsan Crying, Cairo, 1997 von Youssef Nabil wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.775,23) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Youssef Nabil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maelema- Fifi Abdo im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.300,00 (€ 65.711,82).
