This artwork by Yong Xing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Running Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 29,069.62) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yong Xing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy After The Chunhua Ge Tie in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 2,584,000.00 (€ 282,727.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yong Xing erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 29.069,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yong Xing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy After The Chunhua Ge Tie im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.584.000,00 (€ 282.727,74).
