Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Kaishu by Yong Xing. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,803.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yong Xing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy After The Chunhua Ge Tie in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 2,584,000.00 (€ 282,727.74).
