A top price for Yokoi Kinkoku - as previously expected
In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART, which included the work Spring and winter landscape by Yokoi Kinkoku. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,107.00 (€ 4,460.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Spring and winter landscape is the most expensive artwork by Yokoi Kinkoku that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring and winter landscape von Yokoi Kinkoku zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.107,00 (€ 4.460,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Spring and winter landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yokoi Kinkoku, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
